On the 5th September Tom, Ricky and Dibs leave Shaftesbury, Dorset with over 2000Km of road ahead of them, with just their bikes, a few belongings and the aim of reaching Morocco by October. The boys say even though they will have fantastic story to tell after, they are doing this for 'lads on the street.' The lads on the street in Kampala are in much need of some support and 'the ride' boys want to get them to school and give them a better future. "Many of the lads have dreams for the future, to be a doctor or a pilot, a footballer or a businessman, a missionary or a photographer yet for them getting work is almost impossible. Education in Uganda cost around £100 a term and for those lucky enough to work earn around 50p a day this is well out of their reach. But for us... We could give these guys something that could change the rest of their lives. Dorset Flapjacks are inspired by anyone who has the determination to do something so demanding for a selfless reason. A good cause and an adventure....we're in. The Ride guys will take with them some of their favourite flapjacks as part of their diets which will demand lots of energy and a delicious and hunger beating Dorset Flapjack is just the right thing. We wish them all the luck in the world.
